Blood Trust returns to the Digital Red Label Series with its fifth instalment, this time re-exploring futurism at 170 with the dread visions and bleakness we all know and love.

“The Sound and the Fury” rolls out with death rattle percussion and tightly-wound delays before a devastating bassline anchors the remains. But before anything gets too comfortable, a mid-drop lays out a new layer of riotous breakbeats that rip through the sparseness.

"Sanctuary" presents a starker, more inward-facing contrast. Tech-step snares meet industrial grind, recalling ‘Streetcleaner’-style pressure, but with syncopated breaks that elaborate on Blood Trust’s mastery of subtle choppage.

These tracks are two sides of the same coin, inspired by William Faulkner’s turn of the century vision of slow-burn violence. Listen at your peril.
